Narrative:
8 February 2020: DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise UAS sustained unknown damage when force landed in a car park at Barnsley FC Football Ground, Oakwell, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, due to battery exhaustion. The incident was the subject of an AAIB Record-only investigation, and the following is the summary from the AAIB Report:

"The UAS was being used to monitor a football crowd and was flying over a building site near to a steel structure that was being erected. The operator noticed the UAS battery rapidly deplete to zero charge and the UAS automatically landed, without pilot input, in a carpark".

Oakwell is a multi-purpose sports ground in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England used by Barnsley Football Club for home fixtures, and those of their reserves. While the name generally refers to the main stadium, it also includes several neighbouring venues which form the facilities of the Barnsley FC Academy, an indoor training pitch, a smaller stadium with seating on the south and west sides for around 2,200 spectators, and several training pitches used by the different Barnsley FC squads
