Narrative:
On September 3 1994, During Section D of a maintenance test flight, which called for the shutting down and restarting of each of the aircraft's engines in turn, and while flying at FL 130, the aircraft suddenly went out of control. Control was not regained and the aircraft crashed in woods near Urnäsch, Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Switzerland.

At the start of the test, when the pilot shut down the right engine, the aircraft lost speed and height and went off course. The pilot restarted the engine and recovered the situation. He then advised that he was going to shut down the right engine again. Shortly after this the aircraft began to turn to the right and lose height. The loss of control resulted from the 'extreme asymmetric thrust' due to the right propeller windmilling at high speed.

The pilot (the sole person on board) was killed by the impact forces of the crash.
