#OTD in 1997, the pilot of an F-14 was accidentally ejected after landing on USS John C. Stennis. Reportedly, a loose piece of equipment had hit the rocket motor initiator for the pilot's ejection seat. The RIO did not eject but was knocked unconscious. The pilot was recovered. pic.twitter.com/oILIe0921z
