Narrative:THE PILOT STATED THAT HE LANDED SAFELY ON AN ISLAND AFTER NOTICING THAT THE ENGINE COWLING STARTED TO WORK LOOSE. HE SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED THE PROBLEM BUT NOSED OVER ON THE SANDY SURFACE DURING TAKEOFF.
