El 4 de abril de 1925 en Puerto Belgrano, provincia de Buenos Aires, los suboficiales Cabo aviador Principal Amadeo ALBERIO y el Cabo Electricista SEFFINO, Alfredo, tripulando un avión Avro 522 número de serie 1, estaban efectuando acrobacias aéreas encontrándose a una altura de 1800 metros, sufren una perdida de velocidad, perdiendo la estabilidad del avión cayendo a tierra sobre la escollera próxima al canal de entrada de Puerto Belgrano. Los cadáveres de los tripulantes se encontraron incrustados en tierra junto al motor del avión debido a que la marea esta baja. Fue el primer accidente fatal de la ESCUELA DE AVIACION NAVAL.
