Narrative:On August 12, 2007, about 1927, mountain daylight time, a Cirrus SR-22, Canadian registration C-GIOO, collided with terrain near Spirit River, Alberta, Canada. The pilot and the two passengers received fatal injuries.
While en route, the aircraft descended into muskeg covered terrain in the vicinity of the House Mountain communication tower. The aircraft hit wires and crashed. The aircraft was equipped with a Ballistic Recovery Parachute, which deployed on impact. There was no post-impact fire.
