Narrative:Ex-USAF 78-0172, built by SABCA, and originally delivered to Belgian Air Force September 21 1981. Written off June 23 1993: Crashed due to a bird strike during delivery flight from SABCA at Gosselies (Brussels South Charleroi Airport), to Beauvechain AB after getting the "Falcon 2000" F-16 mid-life update.
Aircraft came down at Marche-en-Famenne, Walloon municipality, Province of Luxembourg, at approximate co-ordinates: 50°13′N 05°20′E. Both crew, from the Belgische Luchtmacht Flight Test Centre, Major Frank Dewinne and Lieutenant Colonel Marc D'Espallier, ejected without injuries.
