Narrative:A Toki Air's ATR 72-600, JA01QQ was grounded due to malfunction of fuel system after the flight TOK/BV401 from Niigata to Nagoya/Chubu Centrair. Repair work was carried out at Chubu Centrair until 18th December. The aircraft was ferried back to Niigata and resumed service on 19th December.
On the same day, the other ATR 72-600 of Toki Air, JA02QQ, suffered damage due to a lightning strike while en route as TOK/BV404 from Nagoya/Chubu Centrair to Niigata, and was suspended from service.
As a result, all flights of Toki Air were canceled until evening of 19th, and 80 more cancellations were planed until 13th January 2025.
