El día lunes 2 de junio del año 1947 el avión Miles Magister I de registro sin identificar cuyo piloto era el Sr Carlos Hijano estaban operando para el Servicio de Censo Nacional, al momento que estaba aterrizando en el aeródromo de Mal Paso, en la provincia de Santiago del Estero, choco en forma violenta en la pista, a un avión Miles Magister I de registro sin identificar perteneciente al Aero Club local cuyo piloto el Sr Alberto Fernandez estaba sentado en los comandos de avión, producto del incidente el Sr Fernandez sufrió heridas de carácter leve, mientras que el Sr Hijano resultó ileso.
