Narrative:
16 June 2024: DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Cine UAV was written off (damage beyond repair) when collided with a wall, and fell to the ground after also striking a bystander, during filming at Newton-on-the-Moor, Northumberland. The incident was the subject of an AAIB Record Only Investigation, and the following is the summary from the AAIB report, published on 9 January 2025:

"The UAV was being used for filming inside a building. The UAV began to wander off track, due to loss of GPS position, and struck a wall and then fell onto one of the film extras causing minor injury. The film company’s Health and Safety team have reviewed the accident and put more robust controls in place for filming in similar environments".

Damage Sustained to UAV
Per the AAIB Report the UAV struck a wall and fell onto a bystander, sustained severe damage. The bystandaer also sustained minor injuries

Newton on the Moor is a village and former civil parish in Northumberland, England. It is located 5 miles (8 km) south of Alnwick, on the old route of the A1 road although the village has now been bypassed just to the east. The village is now in the civil parish of Newton on the Moor and Swarland, which also includes the village of Swarland, south-west of Newton on the Moor.
