National Airlines flight N8721, an Airbus A330-243 carrying out a chartered passenger flight to Miami International Airport (MIA), suffered a bird strike to the no.1 engine during departure from Manaus-Eduardo Gomes International Airport, AM (MAO).
The flight safely returned to MAO, landing 45 minutes after takeoff. The aircraft sustained minor damage to its no.1 engine's fan blades, and the passengers were repositioned to another National Airlines A330.
