Narrative:North American B-25B Mitchell #40-2278, piloted by William M. Bower, took off from the aircraft carrier Hornet for an one-way mission to attack Japan.
The crew bailed out near Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, China and were rescued. The aircraft continued to fly into Jiangxi Province before going down near a village.
