The aircraft was hit by Flak and crashed, while engaged in an armed recce operation. The 24-year-old Norwegian pilot, Fnr. Oluf Ragnar Wagtskjold, died in the crash of the plane. He rests at Bergen/Solheim cemetery in Norway.
