Narrative:
A Beechcraft A36 Bonanza, N184AJ, sustained substantial damage following a forced landing near the Auglaize County-Neil Armstrong Airport (AXV/KAXV), Wapakoneta, Ohio. The pilot was not injured, and passenger sustained minor injuries.

Preliminary information indicates that the airplane departed runway 26 at KAXV and climbed to an altitude of 2000 ft when it experienced a loss of engine power. The pilot conducted a 180 turn and attempted to land back on runway 8, but ended up landing in a field roughly 1.6 miles from the approach end of runway 8.
