El 13 de agosto del año 1958, el avión de entrenamiento militar Fiat G.46-2B registro Ea-42. nº/serie 65, perteneciente a la Fuerza Aérea Argentina, cuyo piloto era el Capitán Saul Antonio Plos, promoción XIV egresado el 11 de diciembre de 1948, cuando estaba sobrevolando en las cercanías de la localidad de Paraná, provincia de Entre Ríos, se estrella su avión y fallece el piloto.
