Lancaster B.I R5847 "EM-Y" of 207 Squadron took off at 23:37 from RAF Bottesford. Target: Bremen.
The aircraft was shot down by night fighter pilot Major Günther Radusch of the Stab II./NJG 3, who was on detachment to II./NJG 2.
R5847 crashed at 01:14 at Zwiggelte (Drenthe), 14 km south-southeast of Assen, Netherlands. All are buried in Westerbork General Cemetery:
