#OTD in 1987: a RAF Chinook [ZA721] crashes near Mount Pleasant base (Falkland Islands), all 7 aboard die. Helicopter was on a test flight after servicing, went down shortly after takeoff. Enquiry could not point definitive cause but pointed possibility of a control problem. pic.twitter.com/34OlK2ncE1
