Crashed into a mountain above the Elan Valley, near the Claerwen Dam, Powys, Wales 17 June 1986 during night terrain following training sortie. Both crew - OLt Peter Kastner (pilot, Luftwaffe) and Sqn Ldr Towl (RAF Navigator) - killed.
