Narrative:Written off July 4 1970: went missing en route between Farmingdale, New York, and Block Island, Rhode Island. Aircraft believed to have ditched and sank into Long Island Sound near Westbrook, CT. Pilot and passengers bodies later recovered. Pilot transmitted radio message stating that the aircraft was out of fuel.
