Written off (presumed destroyed) when when missing en route between Shirley, New York and Danielson, CT. Pilot killed. Presumedditched into the western Atlantic Ocean off the east coast of the United States. Aircraft damage & injury to pilot (sole person on board) presumed, as no trace of the aircraft or the pilot was ever found.
