Narrative:
The Aero Commander was ordered back to Venezuela after the crew entered the Barranquilla FIR. The airplane was not equipped with a working transponder, which was mandatory to cross Colombian airspace. The airplane crashed in mountainous terrain

Unknown or Undetermined (UNK), the event occurred in the air and was related to a Loss of Flight Control (LOC-I) without being able to determine its cause, since four (4) of the six (6) hypotheses could have occurred.
