Narrative:Republic F-84E-15-RE Thunderjet, 49-2369, 182nd FBS, 136th FBW, Texas ANG (Air National Guard), USAF: Written off (destroyed) January 14 1952 when lost (failed to return) from combat operations over North Korea. Hit by AAA and ditched in river during heavy snowstorm, 12 miles South West of Sinanju, South Pyongan Province, North Korea
Pilot Captain John D Beers USAF (AFSN: 0-1903049) posted as MIA, later confirmed as having bailed out and survived to be captured as a POW. According to the following citation for his POW Medal:
