Narrative:Built for the RAF as a Miles Magister L8285. Struck off charge and sold for civilian use as G-AMMD (C of R R3402/1) on 15-9-51 to W. A. Rollason Ltd., Croydon. UK registration G-AMMD cancelled 16-11-51 as "sold abroad to NZ". To New Zealand as ZK-AWX by December 1951.
Piako Aero Club operated several Magisters during the 1950s. ZK-ALO and ZK-AWX from 1952 to 1956 when it was sold to Kawerau Aero Club where it crashed in 1957. Registration ZK-AWX cancelled 31-3-58
