Narrative:BGA 114: R.F.D. Primary Type A.T.1 (MSN AT.12) Registered 3.6.30 to Bedford Gliding & Flying Club: the club was in operation from around August 1930, with a site and hangar at Wilstead Hill, five miles south of Bedford. From 3.4.31 a new site was used at Woolley Hill, five miles west of Huntingdon. Still in use in September 1932 although the C of A had lapsed in June 1932. Bought by London Gliding Club in November 1933 and flown with a nacelle.
Crashed at Dunstable Downs, Tring Road, Dunstable, Bedfordshire 17.6.34 after one of the flying wires failed; Pilot - Louis Adrien Desoutter (aged 34) - died 23.6.34 (one week later) of injuries sustained. Also reported as crashed 11.35, though this may have been the date the BGA updated their records following the earlier accident.
