Narrative:
Bound for Kumbwareta in the Yuat River area about 40 km north of Mt Hagen, the heavily loaded aircraft took off from Yankisa but instead of orbiting as per normal procedure to gain altitude before setting course the aircraft climbed into rising terrain and crashed at 4700 feet. Pilot Colin Stanley Bailey (32) and all 7 passengers died.
