Narrative:
Mosquito DD784: Took off for a Test flight. 15/10/1942
The plane had hardly left the production line when she came to 19MU for installation of military equipment. A couple of days later a pilot from 32MU arrived to pick her up for transfer nearer her designated squadron. Her took along another pilot for the aircrafts test flight. After a loose loop the pilot pulled her out of the dive when the aircraft started to break up in the air, eventually loosing her entire tail. Neither pilot had any time to react and bale out before the Mosquito plunged into the ground near Pen-Y-Coedcae, three miles southwest of Pontypridd.
