Narrative:
Mosquito DD691/O: Takeoff at 19:20 hrs for a ferry flight to Malta. 27/12/1942
Its pilot had lost an engine some eighty miles from the Malta. Landing, on one engine, in the dark, for the first time on a strange airfield, with a flare-path" /crash-landing at RAF Luqa at 22:15 hrs. 27/12/1942
The undercarriage did not lock down and aircraft with dire damaged.
