Narrative:
CEA Jodel DR.1050 Ambassadeur G-AVIU: Ex-F-BJJN. First UK registered as G-AVIU 14 March 1967. Written off (damaged beyond repair) 14 June 1980(?): Aircraft departed Shoreham for flight to the Isle of Wight. Written off (damaged beyond repair) when crashed and burnt out on Sandown Golf Course, The Fairway, Lake, near Sandown, Isle of Wight. The pilot and passenger, Peter Cremer and Anthony Roads, were killed in the crash and the Ambassadeur was consumed by fire

There is confusion over the date of the crash; some sources also suggested that it happened on 1 August 1980. Registration G-AVIU cancelled by the UK Civil Aviation Authority 6 August 1986
