Mosquito HJ919/B: Took off for a Training flight /navigation exercise. 23/01/1943
While carrying out an authorised low flying exercise in the region of Seahouses the aircraft was seen to nose dive into the sea about 1 mile off the Seahouses Coastguard Station at approx. 15:00 hrs.
Stalled in a turn while low flying and crashed in North sea off Sea Houses Northumberland.
The position of impact was confirmed by debris and diving operations were commenced.
