Narrative:The nose wheel retracted after landing when the pilot inadvertently raised the gear lever rather than the flap lever. The aircraft slid to a stop and no-one was injured. The operator reported that they taught pilots to do this based on the Aircraft Flight Manual. They have since issued a NOTOC advising pilots not to retract the flaps until the landing roll is complete, and to positively identify the flap lever before raising the flaps. It is also noted that the flap lever in this type of aircraft is situated the gear lever typically is in other aircraft.
