Narrative:
On August 13, 2010, at approximately 18:30 UTC, the pilot, his crew and two passangers began taking off from RWY 19 at Mercedes Aerodrome (MRD) in the province of Buenos Aires with the Piper PA-42 aircraft, registration LQ-BLU, bound for La Plata Aerodrome (PTA/SADL) in the same province.

During the takeoff run, the aircraft deviated to the right of runway 19 and went off its right edge. During the run, the left wing collided with some trees that diverted its path and stopped it on the banks of the Lujan River.

The accident occurred during daylight and with good visibility conditions.

Cause:

During a general aviation flight, in takeoff phase, loss of control of the aircraft, with subsequent runway excursion and impact against a group of trees and bushes due to carrying out the operation outside the parameters established in the Flight Manual.

Contributing factors:

1) Probable operation with low RPM.
2) Excessive confidence in personal capabilities.
