Narrative:
Lancaster W4339 ("PM-M" of 103 Sqn, RAF) took off from RAF Elsham Wolds at 01:27 hours on the night of 2/3rd December 1942, detailed to bomb Frankfurt, Germany. Coned by Scheinw Abt 365 and 1 Scheinw Abt 299 (Lancaster South East of Astheim 05:05). Shot down by Flak 1/schw Flak Abt 702, 4/Res Flak Abt 293, 3/Res Flak abt 322, Flak Regt 29, 3/Res Flak Abt 435 and 1/lei Flak Abt 856. The aircraft crashed between Trebur and Groß Gerau, Hessen, 8 Km south Russelsheim (at approximate coordinates: 49°55′30″N, 08°24′20″E or 49.925091 / 8.405326)
