Narrative:
Boeing B-29A-5-BN Superfortress 42-93861: Delivered to the USAAF 26 August 1944. Assigned to 4150th Electronics Experimental Squadron (ATSC), Boca Raton AAF, Florida. Re-assigned to 4141st Army Air Force Base Unit, Pyote AAF, Texas.

Written off (damaged beyond repair) when crash landed 15 February 1945 due to mechanical failure near Cantil, Fremont Valley, 28 Miles North East of Mojave, California (at approximate Coordinates: 35°18′32″N 117°58′06″W). The full number of casualties is not known: however, one fatality known by name was 1st Lt Laurence Audrey Cormack, who died of injuries sustained two months later, on April 19, 1945 (see link #3)

Not repaired: stored until reclaimed as scarp and components at Pyote AFB, Texas, 11 September 1950.
