Mosquito A52-70 Delivered 14/03/45 to 2 Aircraft Depot. Issued 04/04/45 to 5 OTU, RAAF Williamstown, NSW. On 16/04/45 this aircraft was one of four Mosquitoes on a routine cross-country flight to Moree, A52-70 did not return to Williamtown. Search aircraft failed to locate A52-70. In 01/46 wreckage was discovered in the Barrington Tops National Park and a coronerís inquest decided A52-70 had flown into trees during fog or cloud. .
