Narrative:Written off (destroyed) March 1, 1981 when crashed at Autaugaville, Autauga County,, Alabama (at approximate Coordinates: 32°25′56″N 86°39′12″W): Pilot indicated that he was instructor qualified, accepted IFR clearance. Unable to navigate/maintain assigned headings. The pilot - the sole person on board - was killed. According to the following excerpt from the official NTSB report into the accident:
"PROBABLE CAUSE(S): PILOT IN COMMAND - CONTINUED VFR FLIGHT INTO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS - ATTEMPTED OPERATION BEYOND EXPERIENCE/ABILITY LEVEL - SPATIAL DISORIENTATION"
