The accident occurred shortly after take off from Spanhoe Airfield, Harringworth, near Corby, Northamptonshire. The pilot was killed and the passenger seriously injured. According to a press statement from Northamptonshire police (see link #5):

"Light aircraft crash in Spanhoe yesterday
June 19, 2017

A light aircraft crashed at an airfield in Spanhoe, near Harringworth, Northamptonshire yesterday. The aircraft crashed shortly after take-off at about 12.45pm on Sunday, 18 June.

Sadly the pilot died following the incident. A passenger sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance for treatment.

Police and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch are investigating the circumstances around the incident to understand the cause of the crash.
