The seaplane crashed shortly during a takeoff attempt in rough water conditions. Two occupants were seriously injured, and one occupant onboard the amphibian received minor injuries. One first responder received minor injuries. One of the seriously injured passengers later succumbed to the injuries received. A second person later died from the injuries sustained in the crash.
