Narrative:
Following a loss of engine power, the aircraft sustained substantial damage during the ensuing force landing in northwest Wellston, Ohio. The airplane sustained substantial damage and the pilot was seriously injured. The sole passenger onboard the aircraft received apparent minor injuries.
