Narrative:The student pilot reported that, during the final landing of his solo flight, the airplane bounced and that he attempted to correct, but the propeller struck the ground. Subsequently, he stopped the airplane and was towed back to the ramp.
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the firewall.
The student pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
Probable Cause: The student pilot’s improper landing flare, which resulted in a bounced landing and a propeller strike.
