Following a loss of engine power, the aircraft force landed to farm field terrain during an attempted return to the point of departure at Paso Robles Municipal Airport (KPRB), Paso Robles, California.
The airplane, operating on a cross-country training flight. The landing gear collapsed during landing and the plane sustained damage.
The two pilots onboard were not injured.
