Flight LCB1323, a DHC-8-402Q operated by LC Perú enroute to Ayacucho returned to land at Lima-Jorge Chávez International Airport in Peru after the nose landing gear failed to deploy. Before attempting to land, a low pass was performed over the airport to get a visual check of the landing gear condition. Ground personnel confirmed visually that the nose gear did not deploy. Minutes later, after burning some fuel for safety reasons, a nose gear-up landing was performed on runway 15.
There were 59 passengers and 5 crew members on board, according to the airline.
