The aircraft, an experimental Morstad built Avid Magnum, experienced instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) and a subsequent impact with wooded mountainous terrain on Mount Bigelow in Wyman Township during a visual flight rules (VFR) flight to Greenville Seaplane Base (52B) In Greenville, Maine. The floatplane sustained substantial damage and the two occupants onboard received minor injuries.
