The aircraft experienced a deployment of the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) north-northeast of Cobb County International Airport-McCollum Field (KRYY), Atlanta, Georgia. The airplane came to rest on lightly timbered open turf terrain, sustaining substantial damage. There have been no reported injuries to the two occupants onboard the aircraft.
