The ultralight plane crashed upon landing at Saint-Martin-de-Londres airfield under unknown circumstances and was destroyed by fire.
Both occupants, a certified instructor (60) and his wife (55) died in the crash.
They had left Saint-Drézéry at 8:30 a.m.

The pilot, accompanied by a passenger, took off from the Saint-Drézéry ultralight base for an ultralight rally in Villefranche-de-Panat.

According to a witness at the Saint-Martin-de-Londres aerodrome, the ultralight touched a tree with its right wingtip. The pilot lost control of the ultralight, which collided with the ground and caught fire.
