An ultralight aircraft towing a glider crashed near Mont Artzamendi, France. The pilot had the time to release the cable the glider which landed safely back at the airfield.
There was a post-impact fire. The pilot (74) was fatally injured.

The glider pilot and some walkers witnessed the scene.
