F-AIYB Breguet 284T (MSN 1); first registered as 19.2.29 (C of R 2029) to Societe des Ateliers d’Aviation Louis Breguet, Paris (based Velizy-Villacoublay); named “Dragon de l’Annam”.
Written off (damaged beyond repair) 19.2.29: Aircraft was being operated on a private "exploration" flight to French Indo-China (aircraft was routed Paris – Marseille – Tunis – Tripoli – Cairo – Basra – Karachi – Allahabad – Calcutta – Akyab – Yangon – Hanoi). Aircraft left Paris-Le Bourget Airport at 17:52 LT on a trip to Vietnam (then known as French-Indo-China). Aircraft was fully prepared with 1,900 litres of fuel on board. Eight minutes after takeoff, while cruising over Paris at a height of 500 meters, engine stopped. According to the crew, a fuel line ruptured shortly after takeoff, causing the engine to fail.
The crew attempted to make an emergency landing but visibility was poor due to the night, Pilot tried to find a suitable open terrain for the emergency landing, and eventually landed alongside the railway line near Bondy Station (Gare de Bondy, 1 Place de la République, Bondy, Seine-Saint-Denis, a subuarb or Paris, at approximate Coordinates: 48.894058°N, 2.479096°E). On landing, aircraft lost its undercarriage and hit a electric pole, losing its both left wings. While the aircraft christened 'Dragon de l'Annam' was destroyed, all three occupants were unhurt.
