During a conventional take off from GŁtersloh, Germany. The pilot mistakenly believed the aircraft was not becoming airborne. Leaving the runway it went through the barrier and perimeter fence into the River Ems.

Pilot - later named as Flt. Lt. M. Zanker - ejected safely.
