Narrative:
On 4 December 1971, Hunter F56 BA252 flown by Squadron Leader A B Samanta of 37 Squadron, IAF was Shot Down over Tejgaon, near Dhaka, Bangadesh (then East Pakistan) by a Pakistani Air Force F-86E Sabre

According to Indian sources "Sqn Ldr A R Samanta 5073 F(P) 37 Squadron KIA 04 Dec 1971 Sqn Ldr Samanta was carrying out a raid on Dhaka in a Hunter (BA-252) when he was shot down by AA Fire and Killed"
