A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed this morning at the Gwalior air base just before take off for an exercise. The pilot, Sqn Ldr V Gupta, safely ejected out of the aircraft.

The crash occured at 0830 hours when the aircraft was taking off on a strike mission but developed some technical fault and crashed, according to initial reports. There was no injury or damage on ground. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered into the crash.
