https://www.hmdb.org/Marker.asp?Marker=19137 (Their website says that the A/C was part of a Marine Reserve squadron from Atlanta, so not sure how that info comports with the fact that this A/C appears to have been written off. Weird.)

02Aug2022 - Personal Knowledge #2: I was on the flight-line and saw this when it happened. Very unfortunate day. After runway contact and hydroplaning started, the A/C slid down the runway sideways. Pilot jettisoned canopy in hope of getting out when it came to a stop, but at end of runway when pavement ran out, A/C hit the dirt, and flipped upside-down. Pilot was still inside, never made it out.
